Break out your lederhosen and raise a stein high, The 45th Annual Oktoberfest of the Palm Beaches is right around the corner! Hosted by the American German Club, this event starts this weekend. Hosted the second and third weekend in October, this family friendly event is not all about beer. Set on 10 acres with a large pavilion and traditional tent this is one of the largest Oktoberfest events in the country with a Kidz Zone, rides, gifts and more. There is no shortage of authentic German cuisine being served up from Bratwurst to Schnitzel, Goulasch platters to Leberkäse (traditional Bravarian meatloaf). Of course, Germany’s finest imported beer will be flowing plentifully including the iconic Original Hofbräu Bier as well as a large selection of fruit Schnapps and other imported liquors and wines. Live music will also be performed by “Heldensteiner” who is returning for their 11th year in a row and “Echt Baerig” who is also returning. The best part about these live performances is not only the great music and vibe they provide, but they also perform at the Munich Oktoberfest! These great bands are accompanied by a long list of other entertainment throughout the weekend to keep the party going. Tickets are available online. This is a busy event so there is free parking with a shuttle or you can park directly across from the event for $15 and avoid the hassle. Either way you and your family are sure to enjoy the festivities.
